We are a full service alterations studio specialising in mens and womens clothing. We also offer sewing classes for teens and tweens, sell pre-loved clothing and have a tempting selection of locally handmade gifts.
We take pride in providing quality alterations and excellent customer service. We believe sewing is an art and approach all projects whether big or small with an artful eye. Have a look at our price list or bring in your item for an exact quote.
We want to pass down the art of sewing to the next generation! Karen and her team specialize in teaching teens and tweens ages 9 and up the art of sewing and how to express themselves creatively through the needlearts.
Our classes are unfortunately put on hold due to concerns with COVID 19 until further notice.
There is lots of talent in our corner of the world and we want to showcase it here. All our gifts are handmade by local artists and designers and we make sure to have something for everyone. Support your local talent, it sure does feel good!

How to Find Us
We are located in Gobbitt’s Yard just off the Thoroughfare in the heart of Woodbridge. When walking along the Thoroughfare you will see the “Gobbitt’s Yard" archway next to Joules and across from the Cake Shop, come through the archway into the yard and we are located in the back right hand corner next to the Cooks Shed.
If you are driving to Woodbridge, please note that you cannot drive on the Thoroughfare from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. As such, please don’t follow Sat Nav instructions to our postcode as it is very confusing and won’t lead you directly to the shop! Instead, set your Sat Nav to postcode to IP12 1DT for Oak lane carpark or Ip12 1DE for the Turbin Centre carpark. It is just a short walk to Stitchworks from either carpark.
